End-user observation and interviews were conducted at veterinary facilities. Insights into existing products, veterinarian work habits, and daily challenges emerged.
Breadboard models were created to quickly identify the concept platforms that best suited the variety of operating procedures. These models were then taken back to the veterinary facilities to obtain user feedback.
Concepts centered around the leading breadboard platform. Concept variation explored feature vs. cost tradeoffs, up-front tooling costs vs. increased part costs, and interaction points.
Features: hand piece cord management, maneuverable head positioning to accommodate multiple procedure styles, 360° handle molded into the top cover, sound reduction enclosure, and an oil-less compressor.
